Club: Mississippi Valley Amateur Radio Association

Comments:

For the second year in a row, the Mississippi Valley Amateur Radio Association
(MVARA), located in La Crosse, WI, drove across the state line to Houston
County, MN and setup its emergency communications bus in the parking lot of
WXOW-TV.

By participating in the MnQP, the club is able to practice antenna and station
setup in less than ideal conditions (a lot colder than Field Day!), allow many
club members the opportunity to practice their contesting (thus traffic
handling) skills, shake out any bugs and find new ways to improve the emcomm bus
setup, and best of all, enjoy the camaraderie between club members. In all, 10
members sat down and made contacts during the day, plus several others helped
out with setup and teardown, etc.

While I'm submitting the log and score for the club, I was unable to participate
this year in MnQP, due to being out of the country during the event. It seems I
missed a good one!

One of our members took some pictures and has them available at:
https://danielmckenzie.smugmug.com/Amateur-Radio/2022-MVARA-MNQP/

More information about the MVARA is available on the club website at:
https://w9mva.net/

The W0M log is being uploaded to LoTW and paper cards are being created for
anyone wanting a paper QSL to confirm a contact.
