Comments:
Missed all of last week's CWT due to a
ES1/OH1ZAA/mm trip without RF on tour.
Today on 14 MHz most of the 1600 - 2500 km
range was blanketed, except for Nige M0NGN
who was booming in. I did not hear any of
the ON/PA-stations, neither HB9. Geometry
seems like 1st reflection by the F2-layer
then shielding and upward bounce by the
E-layer, before the signal is able to
reach the soil. CT/EA was workable, though
pretty weak. Most of USA was weak, but with
big rabbits ears now after Easter, as a single
call was often enough to make the contact.
Solar X-rays have been on the B/C-level border
for some 50 hours with occasional C-flares, and
being fairly quiet on the geomagnetic front...
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA 1856 CWops
