Comments:
I heard the clarion call of nature at 0245 CDT, leaped from my slumber, and
shrieked, "here I am!!" I staggered to my radio, fired up my laptop
and K3, turned them both on, tuned the rig to 40 meters, and . . . nothing! By
this time, it was 0753z. I twiddled the tuning knob a bit and found VE7XT
calling CQ at 0754, worked Rich on 7035 MC, moved down the band a tad, called CQ
(expecting to find scads of folks looking for fresh meat) worked the few hardy
souls left remaining in the next 3 minutes and that was it! Hmmmmph! So much for
getting up in the middle of the night to work the 07 CWT.
