Comments:
Operated 2B1B again but from a different state and just for a couple hours on
Sunday morning. Had to travel light so ditched most of the backup equipment, the
laptop, the PX3, and my usual Field Day antennas. Set up an EFT-MTR antenna
(end-fed, resonant on 40, 20, and 15) in an inverted-vee configuration with the
apex about 16 feet up after trying for 15 minutes to get it on a branch at about
25 feet. Used an HT set on 2M and 70CM simplex frequencies and never heard a
peep--definitely a big difference from the SoCal area. Logged by hand and
entered into N1MM Logger+ later that day.
Score includes 390 QSO points, 200 points for emergency power on 2 transmitters,
100 points for public location, 100 points for W1AW bulletin, and 50 points for
web submission.
