Beachfront park portable from ~0230-0530z. Elecraft KX3, end-fed tree-supported
vertically-oriented 9.5m wire.
15 and 10 were quiet during those hours except weak openings to VK/JA, so this
was primarily a 20-meter stint for me. Working West Coast Zone 6 was pretty
easy, except when they were pointed toward EU - I heard many EU calls being
worked by mainland stations. Worked quite a few in Zones 7&8, but
propagation was far from the best I have ever experienced.
Best DX were CR3DX, CX1AA, HC2GRC, and TI7W.
Nice to hear/work the local KH6 contesters, although working the Big Island on
20 is not always very easy. Tnx for pulling me out from the BI - Stan AH6KO,
Mark WH7W/WH7T, Rob NH6V, and David KH6AQ.
