Comments:
Lost the first hour due to Storms. When we finally were able to fire up one of
the Flex Radios forgot it was a radio requiring a 30 min drive to the station to
do a factory reset. After a recent lightning event we had No working rotor
controls, no ability to turn towers / antennas and only a 30k section of 80m we
could use.
That said, we jumped into the fray anyway ! We started to think we had even more
wrong then we thought, the bands were horrible. LONG or Noisy, either way the
middle of the country was not the place to be this weekend. We had fun, got some
good practice and learned a bit. Matt W4SDX returned for another tour and his
skills keep improving.
The battle on the scoreboard was fun, Congrats to N6RO! Trading licks was fun
even though we knew their 15m mults would decide the outcome. ... It's 2022
folks, checking ONE BOX in N1MM puts you on the Scoreboard. Don't be Scared, be
Sporting.
