Comments:
First HF contest from my own QTH is over ten years. N9NCY and I just bought a
house in August, and I've been able to get a basic station/antennas up. Right
now, all I have for HF is a Par End-Fedz 80-10 EFHW at 40 feet, but it's light
years better than anything I've had at my own QTH forever. It played really well
on all bands, especially 80m. I can't remember the last time I had a real hunk
of wire up in the air for 80m. Great pileups for me on 40 and 80 CW, though I
did prove to myself that my CW is pretty rusty. Time for some Wednesday CWT's to
get that back in shape.
This wire and my simple VHF/UHF yagis on a push-up mast will get me through the
winter. With luck, a tower project begins next year.
See everybody in SSCW for what will be a "serious" part-time effort.
