A great mentoring opportunity for new/inexperienced ops, it was great fun to
foster growth among the local community. 10m was disappointing and the 80m, cut
for a much lower MARS frequency, probably left NM out of the picture. Who knows
why we missed NL?
As always, each of learned more. The IC-7610 worked well as did the KPA1500
along with the 8x1 antenna switch. That combination allowed for instant antenna
switching and many more QSO's in the log that might not have happened
otherwise.
God willing, we'll be back as Team KS5Z for more contests this season. 73,
