This was another NX6T team operation from the WA6TQT Super Station in Anza.
Thank you again John. Stacked arrays and yagi's on 40 thru 10 meters along
with a 4-Square for 80-meters gave our ~1.5kw signal a nice presence.
A few hardware glitches along the way required our usual ingenuity.
If our voice seemed to cut-out, blame it on weird internet dropouts.
Amazingly, 10-meters was a BiG no-SHOW all around for this weekend.
I guess I should not be amazed by calls from Billy-Bob and his brother Barney
to our CQ NEQP calls. We tried: CQ NEQP/1 NX6T/6 NX6T/CA and still had
non-QSO party callers, and, may have contributed to the spotting-networks
not spotting our CQ calls correctly. Let's hear it for Ctrl-W for the
non-contest ragchew hopefuls.
The BiG problem came Sunday afternoon when most of the NEQP stations
moved down to 40-meters, which does us NO GOOD on the left coast.
We see the SPOTs and WEEP. C'mon Guys, give us a break.
LooK for a writeup on this contest event soon in Ron's contest Blog:
