Comments:
At the start of the contest, I didn't really hear much outside of the usual,
strong locals. The weekend had a lot of downtime due to thunderstorms in the air
when I had to disconnect the antennas. I got on after dinner Sunday evening, and
was able to work stations in the Midwest (9 and 0 calls) and Canada (VE3).
Mostly FT8, but I was calling CQ and listening on SSB at the top and bottom of
the hour- which netted me some QSOs. I tried with one station in MN on SSB who
was really strong on the QSB peaks, but faded before we could fully copy my
call. There was a short time when I was copying stations in Texas, but that was
a brief opening to that area.
As one of my goals in this contest was to increase my 6M VUCC totals, it was
successful, as I put a few new grids in the log. 73! Paul N1SFE
