There's a reason why this is my favorite contest: great operators, a challenging
exchange, and a virtually unlimited pool of stations to work!
Conditions were good for most of the event, and it was a pleasant surprise to
see short skip on 20 meters on Sunday afternoon that yielded short-range
contacts in addition to the normal range of contacts. That mitigated, to some
extent, the dreaded Sunday afternoon doldrums.
