In order to expect long life from these ceramic tubes, one must adhere
to strict rules on "air flow."

1. Allow 180 seconds (3 minutes) for tube warm-up at initial start
of operation and before application of HV and rf drive.

2. At completion of operation and your intent to shut down the amp.,
it is wise to allow 300 seconds (5 minutes) for the anode and
internal structure to cool down slowly. Most important.

Following these simple rules will allow you to get upwards of 100,000
hours of service from tubes of this type, barring of course, any unusual
operating practices or abuse.
>From time to time check for proper air flow in the chamber. It must be
within the required c.f.m. for the tube. Cleaning of the blower and
filter every 3 months is an important plus.
