Hello All,

For those wishing to modify the Svetlana SK-3A socket, to isolate the
cathode from the chassis, Sevtlana has published a two page, detailed
procedure. The purpose of this modification is to permit cathode-driven
operations or where it is desired to provide some degenerative feedback
or when the cathode is above ground as in the case of an electronic bias
switch.

The SK-3A socket has the cathode tied to ground thru the mounting plate
and the screen connections are effectively bypassed to the cathode via a
non-inductive .001capacitor that is built into the socket.

73,

Marv, W6FR
