Hello,

I'm using a TL-922 since 6 months now. During the WW SSB contest, something
happened:
I should tell first that the tubes inside are 3-500ZG (Eimac) and that I'm
using the amp
mainly (99% of the time) on 20 meters.
 - I had always about 1.3 SWR on the TRX with the amplifier. The antenna is
a monobander
and shows a very low SWR all around 20 Meters. After the contest, the power
output was
varying like if the antenna had a fail (default in one element, or...). So
I decided
to check the amplifier on the dummy load. Exactly the same. Then, 2 days
after, the
output power was lower but didn't vary anymore. The SWR between the TRX and
the amplifier is now 1:1 !!! Before, I was getting 1.1 Kw with 65 watts. I
have now to drive it with 80 watts to get the same power. Same on 15 and
10. Still ok on 40 and 80.

Well I've been quite active the last week-end for the CQWWCW, running on CW
position, no problems at all... (driving the amp smoothly).

This evening, when loading the amp, I heard like a "big bang", the power
went down to nothing and came back. It was probably some kind of flash I
don't know where and why... I called a few minutes on 20, nothing special
happened, except that something in the amp smells like burned (hot...).

What should I do or look inside ?
