I'm building a hipot tester and am trying to round up the last
few parts for it. Looking for a pair of HV caps with the same
CV ratings for use in a voltage doubler. I can use anything
from .005 uF and up, and need 10kV or 7.5kV units.
(5kV will probably do.) The Glassmike types would be great-
they are tubular, glass, oil-filled with metal end caps and
threaded studs. Probably around 3/4 to 1" dia. and around
2" long. I could also use good quality plastic film types like
the Sprague Vitamin Q's or similar with the same ratings.
I have seen these several times at hamfests when I didn't
need them, and really cheap, of course- Hi! Anyone have a
pair they would be willing to part with, or know of a good
source for reasonably priced surplus? Thanks, 73, David
