Hello Carlo,
=20
There is no real Comparison between the Henry 8K and the Commander 2500E =
(or ANY other amplifier!), but I'll try.
=20
Henry 8K uses the 3CX3000A7 (4000 watt plate dissipation, 225 watt =
grid).
They use toy tubes! (3CX800A7 800 watt plate dissipation, 4 watt grid! =
[yes, FOUR WATT GRID!!]).

Henry 8K uses OIL FILLED transmitting type filter capacitor (like you're =
supposed to!)
They use "computer type" in a bank.=20
=20
Henry 8K use a choke input HV power supply which has superior load =
regulation
I haven't seen their schematic, but there is no room in the unit for a =
choke and I doubt they use one.
=20
The 8K can do 5 KW+ out in all modes, and while Henry doesn't spec it =
there, many get 7 KW with drive
They claim 2000 w for all modes, 3500 w for SSB/CW

All Henry HF amps is instant on, ready for DX NOW!
They have to wait for warm up.
=20
The 3CX3000A7 is $795 (need one tube only) (at discount)
The 3CX800A7 is $435 PER tube X 3 $1305 (at discount)
=20
The single tube (3CX3000A7) is superior for IMD and Harmonics, and much =
superior to the 3CX800A7 when three tubes are used.
=20
>From the Eimac book, the 3CX800A7 is rated in RF amplifier cathode =
driven class AB2 at 750 watts output.
>From the Eimac book, the 3CX3000A7 is rated in RF amplifier cathode =
driven class AB2 at 7260 watts output !!!
=20
8K has optional presets available to tune to your favorite spot at the =
flip of a switch!=20
8K RF deck/ps can be remoted up to 100 feet away with the control head =
on your desk.
8K tunable from 1.8 to 30 MHz continuous.=20
8K (all Henry amps) use professional premade "diode stacks" at very =
conservative ratings, not individual diodes.=20
8K (as most Henry amps) can be made in 3 phase and any input voltage you =
want!
8K has built-in REAL BIRD wattmeter with 2 slugs provided for forward =
and reflected power.
8K can operate into some higher SWR, other amps will reduce output or =
shut off when you get 1.5 or 2 to 1 SWR!
=20
Why buy an amplifier with such spectacular performance? Some people just =
want the BEST!
=20
I could go on and on...........
See the 8K at http://radiodan.com/Henry/Amp_specs/Ultra_info.htm
=20
With high RF currents and high voltages, you just can't afford anything =
but the highest quality parts and NOT all jammed together in a small =
space!

I would like to buy an amplifier.=20
I'm intetersted in Henry 8k ultra or HF-2500E.I=20
would like to have some impressions of use. Is there anybody with these=20
amplifiers ? Which is the best ?Thank you =
