My Dahl 3CX1200A7 special xmfr for the semi-popular CQ magazine mod for the
L4B measured around 10 ohms secondary resistance using a Fluke 77BN. It had
no center tap. I sold the xmfr around three months ago but I remember very
well it was well under 15 ohms. 170 seems pretty high.
I would not recommend running a legal limit amp on 115VAC mains.
