rating is 800mA. . However, this is a current which should be observed with
an oscilloscope. A reasonable workaround is to tune up with c.50wpm dits,
drive the cathode to produce c. 400mA of indicated anode current, and tune for
max. P out. In ssb voice operation, an ordinary meter indicates about 1/3 of
the actual current. Thus, the meter-indicated current during ssb operation
should be roughly 270mA. Mo' current is not mo' betta. .
