Pretty much the same as the 5CX1500/8295 ,the 4CX1000A/1500B is an equal
in most HF applications and can be adapted.
The original Penta Labs had some real good products before Eimac
destroyed them.

The PL-172 was used in all Hallicrafters HT-33 amps past the original
4CX300A run and was used large scale in military applications.
