I have an ICOM 4KL that I got a good deal on used. It puts out 1000
watts and I have had no interference or dependability problems. The
thing is fully automatic, including amp band tuning and antenna tuning,
so I effectively have a 1000 watt transceiver. Having said all that, I
would prefer an Alpha 87A :-).
