This may be a really dumb question but I am in the process of rebuilding my
4 tube 811a amp and I would like to test the tubes I have as far as output.
Is it o.k. to just fire up the amp with one tube installed at a time?
Also, I have several new 811's here... can I mix and match with 811a's?
And finally, my 2 pole 3 throw rotary switch bit the dust because I sprayed
some contact cleaner on it. It seems that stuff just eats the plastic in
the round wafer part of the switch. From looking at it, it appears you can
just remove the circular wafer part and replace that without replacing the
whole switch... Does anyone sell only that piece? Thanks in advance es
