Sounds good Dick (your mounting idea on an insulated sheet).  Sorry I am of
the school of thought where I don't want to blow fuses and suffer the
downtime, but would rather limit the current spike when a short occurs,
typically in a tube. Eimac, RCA, they all make the same recommendation, to
use a noninductive series R from the plate supply. (also the screen and so
on for larger tubes with handles).
