I think one could derive K from the math given in some of the more
detailed textbooks than the ARRL handbook. But I don't believe it has
anything to do with duty cycle. It is definitely a function of the class
of operation. Some folks use 1.8 for K, some 1.5, some whatever. Sufice
it to say that it is between 1.5 and 2!
