? Plucky Pierre was JFKs press secretary. He apparently relished the
publicity from being associated with Camelot. After the assassination,
Salinger was pretty much ignored for a number of years -- until he
claimed that that the United States Navy shot down flight 800 with an
errant missile. For a while, Salingers name was in the newspapers again.
. However, when the main fuel tank was brought up, it was found that an
electical glitch in the fuel level indicator system had apparently
ignited fuel vapours - which caused the 747 to come apart from the inside
out. . . Salinger currently has less than zero credibility.
