Not so,  there is no circle on the Smith chart, centered on
50 ohms as the line characteristic impedance,  at any load vswr
where you can cross the center of the chart,  which is where
the 50 ohm pure R sits,  hi.  The above sentence is what
miss-led Mike,  I believe.
