? Consider the issue of placement of the Tune-C. Is it better to have a
symmetrical layout, or is it better to place the Tune-C close to the
anode? The SB-220 is an example of amplifier with an eye-pleasing
symmetrical layout. The tradeoff was extra lead length in the critical
VHF-resonant anode circuit. The SB-220 has a well earned reputation for
intermittent oscillation.
