Mike, please explain a capacitor resonating in terms of its intrinsic
inductance and capacitance at a frequency, but with shocking dielectric
properties, with reference to your statement "it will look like a short
circuit and be a very effective RF bypass." 
Surely, even though the cap is resonant, it will blow the lid off due to
dielectric heating?

Passing 1 kW through this reactance sounds like a lot of I^2.R heat,
which the capacitor has to dissipate?
