I have always tried to use the biggest gauge that would fit and hoped it
adequate. Skin effect makes it hard to work out the exact dissipation, and
the Q is governed my many other things, but a good rule is to assume that
the input that does not appear as RF or hot air from the anode is lost in
the tank coil.

I am currently working on an amplifier using the assumption that I am
unlikely to burn out 3/16 inch copper tube with a pair of 4CX250Bs.
