Rich -- For maximum emissive life, the filament potential of a 3CX1200A7
should be kept around 7.13v. According to Eimac, emissive life is a
function of (e1/e2) ^23.4 = [(7.13v/7.89v)^23.4] . In other words,
emissive life in your 3K Classic will be around 7.4% of normal, unless
you modify the amplifier. I would be concerned about loosing over 90% of
the emissive life because of an error in filament potential.
