Fair Radio sells a 32uF 4.5Kv cap in a can (probably film with a
synthetic oil) that is billed as an "energy storage" cap. See
http://www.fairradio.com/dchvca.htm

Anyone have any thoughts as to suitability for HV supply use -- in
the 2500V 400ma range or so?

Thanks ... Grant
