[AMPS] Class C SSB amplifier

Dave,
    You can't make a passive high power filter that will eliminate
the carrier and one side band at HF frequencies.
    However years ago some transmitters were built using the phasing method
and 2 modulators and 2 balanced class C mixers.
This produced a high power (100w) single side band signal with out the use 
of a linear amplifier.
However efficiency is lost over all due to the fact that you had to power the
two plate modulators.  The over all efficiency was less than 50%.
