I have the SS-750 here, Vic.
I use it mobil in the summer, and  fixed in the winter with an Icom 706 MK II.
It puts out 1100 watts @ 160m, dropping to 300 watts on 10m. There are
built-in pads that switch in  so that the drive requirement is about the same
on all bands. (60 watts) SWR protection is a must! It is a fine piece of gear,
but is very unforgiving.
