Stuart I have a 3500 VDC @ 865 mA RMS (CCS rated) transformer and
appropriate choke. It gives 3500 off load and about 3000 volts at 1 amp.I
have 4 sets of these things and I don't really want to part with them but I
will if you are stuck.I know a place that will wind you a 3kVA continuous
transformer which are very compact for around £180-£200.These are suitable
for capacitor input and maybe more suitable as they are very compact. My main
supply for the eme amp is 7.5kVA CCS!!The shack mains can't deliver the
goods of course nor can any of my PA's I hasten to add however it does run
very smooth.

I hope that this helps a little
