[AMPS] Power Supply Filtering?

If I'm using a voltage doubler circuit to obtain 2700 volts for 572-B tubes, 
would 12.5 mfd. be enough filtering?  Also idling voltage would be 3080 volts 
if this turns out to be a true doubler, is this too much on the tube, I 
figure keydown would be 2700-2800. I know 2800 is supposedly the max, is that 
idling or in operation or is that the same? As always, thanks in advance,
