>Hello all
>What's the minimum usable input power for the AL80A amp?
>(1 G-400Z, AB2 ).

It should run ok with about 50w drive. Avoid using a drive level that
produces more than 400mA of anode current.

>Trying to drive 15w 50Mhz to a modified one, but no change in output.
>Also, very high input SWR from 50mhz xverter to the AMP. (7:1).
>Any ideas please?

Use a tuned input with a Q of 2 to 3. (the reactance of C1 should be
from 17 to 25 ohms) L and C2 is adjusted to whatever gives the best
match when the amplifier is driven to 400mA.

cheers, Isaac
