I need the knowledge of the knowing folks on the list.
I have a 6m,grid driven amp that uses two,4CX250B tubes. I want to
convert it to 10 meter use.
Here is what I need to know:
What should the "plate" and "load" capacitor value be changed to? The
current plate value is about 4-18pf. The load I believe is 10-110pf.
The tank coil is 2" ID at 3 1/2 turns with about 1/4" spacing.
How about the plate choke ? Do I need to replace it too? Or will the
one in it work? I do not know the value of it and ave no way to measure
it.
And any other helpful info that I should know.
