You sure are right there Ian!  There is no WAY that is a good idea!!!!

The phase and level of the feedback would be all over the place 
with tank settings and load impedance, and would likely never be 
correct. It could make thinks worse rather than better.

That's a very poor system, and it may actually make things worse.
