Another method of saving energy is to convert to water cooled finals.
During the big contest weekends, you could invite all the neighbors over for
hot showers.
For daily use, you could get up early, talk to your buddies while drinking
coffee and storing the transferred heat in a hot water tank. After
sufficient time, you and your significant other could take a warm shower -
all thanks to ham radio.
