I would like anyone's opinion on the following decision. I have a
choice of a Clipperton L in excellent condition with 3 year old 572-Bs
for $450, or a MLA2500 with 3 year old finals (8855s?) in excellent
condition which hasn't been used very much for $675. I am concerned
about the replacement of the MLA2500 tubes in the future, but according
to the ham that owned it, the original tubes lasted 20 years. I will be
driving the amp with a FT920 and I am also concerned about the switching
situation.
Any suggestions to help me make up my mind by Tuesday?
