When sending data via HF/MF, undoubtedly. I have seen Bit Error Rate (BER)
figures that proved it.

If you're referring to 75m SSB transmissions, I doubt it. Most of the SSB
transmissions I hear on 75m would sound better if the power was reduced to
zero.
