Not so. Regardless their mission the military is best at war, fighting and
killing. That is what it is designed to do. It is not good at civilian
functions.
This is why they fail in so many police overseas actions. They are not
accustom to the concept of (innocent until proven guilty), don't shoot on site
rights etc. The military is simply designed to overcome and defeat the
enemy. In civilian situations there is no enemy and they are just lost with
no one to shoot at.
