I have no idea what is/was wrong. I looked it over and could not see
anything so I tried it one more time. It of course worked fine. I
removed the tank coil so I could get at the band switch. All of the
contacts looked fine and the wiper is making contact with each one. I
burnished the contacts put it back together it is still functioning so I
have no idea what happened.
