FYI

At Dayton, I saw a booth called of a company called "The RF Shop".

The guy running it had a switching HV power supply displayed. The electronics board was under a thick aluminum cover so you couldn't see the insides. The HV transformer was viable. He said he could provide the units with voltages from 2500 to 4000 volts with 2 amp output capability. He claimed a 20 volt drop in output voltage from no load to full load. The unit's weight is 20 pounds. The price was verbally quoted at $950.

He is also the distributor for power transformers made by Magcap Engineering. His flyer has a model HAM-1002 with 230, 240 and 150 volt input taps and 3000 volts at 2 amps CCS for $400.

His web page is at www.therfshop.com. There's not a lot of info on it

I have no involvement with the company - just passing info on.
