Bennie,
I know that's true and you see it full blast all the time. Plus as you know, hosting aint cheap either. It's a shame how some take advantage of others work, mainly for profit or dont want to pay the expense of hosting and thus leach files running up your bandwidth. I've had my website shut down by the provider several times for going over the bandwidth limit. But, I look at it this way, maybe some have learned from it. I've not had this happen for a while as I caught some leaching from mine and stopped it. I did have a link on my webpage for the radio power tutorial by Bill Eitner but seen it was down long ago. I done this with his permission however. If I had a copy of the webpages, I would store it on my end.

I'm going to try to start a small amount on mine about homebrew amps. When I do something with it, I'll post it on here for all to know about it. Thanks for the input Benny, it's been a long while since I spoke to you.

Any info like this is valuable. I'd like to see somebody set up a web server where everyone could submit work on amps and amp related articles.

Will It would be cool but. Very few people would post information if there was such of place.

1. The leach problem (most people want to take and not give)
2. The "I am a better tech than you" problem. (better known as the a**hole)
3. The problem with the people without a life that would want to trash the site.
4. I don't think the amateur hobby will ever reach the level of open source like software folks.
5. Amateur Radio is not a hobby to a lot of people now it is a business. (Maybe the FCC should change the name)
6. Look at ARRL and the list go's on.

This doesn't apply to everyone just just allot of people out there in Amateur Radio.
I could be wrong but this is what I have seen on the groups on the net and places out
on the streets.

Bennie
