Mark,

You need to tailor your rise time and hang time response to the Bird movement.  
Your current configurations show us you
are on the right track as it reads correctly on another movement.  May I 
suggest you make the response 
curve switchable for multiple movements.  

Good Luck on solving your problem.  

If you don't resolve it send me a schematic of what you have and I'll work on a 
solution.

Being retired after 30 years in the rf field I still enjoy tinkering a bit.
