My query is, if one of the 756's fail, our standby rig is a FT102. How do we
throttle the power back from the FT102's 140-180W when tuned properly, to
the 60-70 to drive the Dentron's ?

::One way is to use external ALC voltage source to throttle back the FT-102
and restrict its output power. Another way is to bring out the signal line
to the MLA2500 cathodes (inside the amp, between the T-R relay and the
cathodes) and add a 3dB, 100W attenuator to swamp the input. In lieu of
that, adding a "T" adapter and a 50 Ohm 100W dummy load there works pretty
well -- done that, too... -WB2WIK/6

(Not old enough to have lots of experience in valve technology !)

Any help appreciated.
