A little ot here, but... during ww II there was a transmitter that was an
instant tune 500-600 kw monster that had the nickname of "aspidistra."
Was used to send out propaganda from england to germany during that time of
struggle, does any one know who built the thing? Or its frequency range?
Have found and read some info on it, but no reference as to who the
manufacturer was. Am aware that it was built in the US, but the FCC nixed its
stateside usage, so off to merry olde it went.
