Hi, here in the UK it used to be possible to get kits to security mark the 
glass in car windows, maybe the kits are still available, may be a 
reasonable approach for your 3-500s, though not sure of the weakening effect 
of etching thinner glass. I am constantly amazed at the dishonesty of
