Tom,

Doing a Google search, I found several pages refering to the GU-84B as a
GU84B/4CX1600 just then, and then also seen some refering to it as a 4CX2500.
The very first hits I list below;

So, which one is it? Emtron says it's has a 2500 watt dissapation but does not
call it a 4CX2500. It sounds like some wants to call it one thing and others
something else.

Best,

Will

As I said before......The GU-84B and the 4cx1600B are entirely different......the GU-84B is a much larger tube in size, weight and output.
I dont know where these guys come up with the GU-84B being the same as a 4cx2500.....Is there such a tube as the 4cx2500????? I dont think I have ever seen one.....they may well exists, but I do not know of them.......so I think when the guys from Europe were trying to find a tube which was comparable to the GU-84B so they came up with the 4cx2500.....but as I said......I dont know if such a tube as the 4cx2500 exists........I think they used the 4cx2500 because a GU-84B can give you about 2500 watts out with 100 watts drive and a 2300 volt transformer.
But I stand by my statement that the 4cx1600b and the GU-84B are no where near the same tube. Compare the specs between the two of them and you will see what I mean.
