The other day a poster here said something about a $2K linecord
and I thought there was a mis-key.

However, today the hard catalog came from MuusicDirect,

http://www.musicdirect.com

and I see he wasn't kidding. For those of us with discerning
requirements the company offers 120 volt duplex outlets
to replace those Home Depot $2.00 nightmares with
$95.00 Shunyata "Venom" outlets. They're "cryogenically
treated." (Dipped in liquid nitrogen?)

Please, offer yourselves a good laugh and peruse this
on-line catalog. See what we've been missing. Myself,
I'm dreaming about the set of eight (8) ceramic cable
elevators ($159.99) to get those pesky cables off
the XYL's carpeting. The ad says that my carpet
acts like a dielectric, "siphoning off and distorting the
audio as it travels..." Wow. I never knew.

Here I am, wondering if 1/2" silver strapping is good for
the tank circuit in my GU-84b tetrode project, and how to get
all ferrous metals out of the RF enclosure while I should be
concerned with my carpet stealing the signals from my
cables. And I thought the guys wearing the tinfoil helmets
were out in left field!

Respectfully,

Hal/W4HBM
